Cat on the Prowl – Part 4

Unicorn

Clancy’s Fremantle, 01 Jul 2022

01.jpg

Surviving the ravages of Covid19 and back as a fully fledged fourpiece Unicorn successfully launched new single ‘Cats’ at Clancy’s Fremantle. Playing a set of jumpy, angst fuelled rock pop break up songs they delighted the night.
Review:
Recovering from the dreaded cough#19 and back as a fully fledged and firing furry four piece Unicorn romped it home, pulling off a successful launch of ‘Cats’. Shooting it from Clancy’s onto the micro waves.
Playing an eleven song set list of their hits, bits and screaming slaps Unicorn got the feet tapping and bodies swinging to the their edgy, jumpy, angsty back beat.
Jess hitting the drums HARD fills out the sound laying the foundation for Ella to run around flipping the bass.
Doug on guitar has a great vibration, at times sounding like keyboards, and at other getting riffy and rocky with a cutting edge.
Jenna’s guitar adds layers and her powerful vocals get to strut and stride out into the open.
An excellent night of live music in Freo bringing great energy, crowd and performers together into the mix.
Line-up
Jenna Hardie, Vocals/rhythm guitar (Filth Wizard, Gold Suns, The Government);
Jessica June: drums (The Tommyhawks, Filth Wizard);
Ella Munro (Last Lions).
Doug May, (Abbe May, The Fuzz, Ghetto Crystal)
